Sermon Notes

This is the fifth message in the series paralleling our small group study Life-Changing Prayer by Jim Cymbala.  There is no one who has ever lived where God has said “yes” and answered all of their prayers in the way they would have liked Him to. Prayers by Abraham, Moses, Peter, and Paul were not all answered by God.

A few weeks ago we looked at some potential reasons why our prayers may not be answered. Are we serious about following God’s will for our lives? Are we confessing our sins to God when we mess up and receiving His forgiveness? Are we forgiving others when they wrong us?

This morning we are looking at a few more potential reasons why God may say “no” to our prayers and some things that we can do when God says “no”.
