Sermon Notes

Last week we looked at whether truth really exists. Many people believe there is no objective, absolute truth. They think that truth is subjective and whatever a person believes is true, is true for them. Many who believe this do so because for them there is no one authority for deciding if a belief or action is right or wrong.
But truth does exist. It is inherent in the nature of God Himself, and we can know it and choose to live by it. But there is an important tension we are to live with between being people of truth and people of grace.
In John 8:14 we are told that Jesus was full of grace and full of truth. Today we are going to look at how Jesus dealt with the woman caught in adultery as an example of how he was full of both grace and truth and what it means for us to be as well.
