   On this Memorial Day weekend we honor those who have given their lives while serving our country in the military. For the message today, we are going to look at what we can do to try to help others who are grieving or hurting whether it is the loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship, or other kind of loss.

   Paul challenges every follower of Christ in Romans 12:15 to “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” Grief is a very real and painful experience. And because we may not know what to say or do, we may tend to distance ourselves from those who are hurting and we end up saying and doing very little.

   What are some things we can do, and what things should we avoid doing, when relating to someone who is hurting?
